RallyX in Hell

Standard

OK – this is long overdue.  I’ve got a flickr account, Instagram, and this blog where I’ve got pics strewn all over the place, and I’m a bit behind.  These pics are from when those crazy chaps running the European Rally Cross series came to Hell, which happens to be right around the corner from me.  So, after sending off the two littlest chaps with their mom for a trip down south, I took Ken and my eldest to check out some of the sights, and of course the sounds from the event.  These cars are absolutely bonkers – in terms of power output and acceleration, they put WRC cars to shame, but the format is very short.  The driving on display is entertaining, but there’s just way too much muscling around going on.  Anyways, I got to get a pic taken with Mr. Hollywood, Petter Solberg, so that was a highlight in itself.

Without further ado, here’s are some pics from the event.  I got to say, I took the little Nikon V1 with the 30-110mm lens, and this camera is pretty darn good for fast action shots.

Some people say Yoga is good for the soul, mind and body. They have instructors on form and technique. They have special sessions which involve baking temperatures so you sweat just standing. They have moves named after animals. Thus you can safely conclude that Yoga came about after a frustrated Yogi just took 4 shots to hack out of the rough and is laying 7 on a par 4 and still has 150 to the pin. Continue reading

Or in other words, living with cloth diapers…

So, here I am in the middle of a friday, writing a blog post, while kid number 3 is getting into all sorts of mischief.  Am I worried?  Am I stressed?  Nope, nada, nothing.  After kid 1 (a massive stress fiesta), and kid 2 (a sort of I’ve seen this before but this is new WTH do I do now), kid 3 is very manageable.  Now, all the ladies out there are probably wondering, what’s the big deal – but to guys, child care is a big deal.  Women seem to know things about babies without even trying.  Babies seem to know their mama can fix things way better than their papa (hello boobies), so when the kid suddenly realizes that papa is staying at home full time and is responsible for keeping him alive, he looks a little worried.
