A ProV1X to nirvana

Standard

Some people say Yoga is good for the soul, mind and body. They have instructors on form and technique. They have special sessions which involve baking temperatures so you sweat just standing. They have moves named after animals. Thus you can safely conclude that Yoga came about after a frustrated Yogi just took 4 shots to hack out of the rough and is laying 7 on a par 4 and still has 150 to the pin.

Albatrosses, eagles and birdies are what rewards you when form meets function and your body is imperfect sync, your mind clear of distractions. After a couple of hours on the course in the baking sun, the bag on your back feels a little heavier, it’s just that little bit harder to swing correctly and you try to focus even harder. So that Yogi I mentioned earlier – he invented the concept of caddying. Of course, the middle aged 40 year old going through a mid-life crisis and a hankering for motorized mobility invented the golf cart.

Golf season is finally underway for me, and like I said, some people do Yoga – I do golf. And yes, I’m still hacking away, but keep going back for more. Luckily it’s a short season in Trondheim.

But getting 4 pars, a couple of bogeys and finding a New Pro V1X on the second 9 hole round of the season – I’ve achieved harmony in body, mind and soul – at least until I tee it up again.
